  1. Important dates

submission of abstracts: until 15th August 2026;
notification to authors: until 10th September 2026;
registration with a contribution: from 14th to 18th September 2026;
registration without a contribution: from 15th August to 8th October 2026;
submission of the final text for publication: until 30th January 2027.

  1. Submission of abstracts

Proposals for papers in the form of oral presentations (maximum duration of 20 minutes) or posters are welcome. Abstracts must be submitted by completing the form at https://citer.ucp.pt/events/2a-sessao-do-ciclo-internacional-de-conferencias-cidade-e-mito-do-passado-ao-presente

For the purposes of issuing a receipt, please indicate the name to be shown on it, your address and your tax identification number.

Working languages: Portuguese, English, French, Spanish, Italian.

All abstracts will be subject to review by the Scientific Committee. Authors will be notified by e-mail.

  1. Registration

To validate your status as a speaker, you must register through and attach the application form in https://citer.ucp.pt/events/2a-sessao-do-ciclo-internacional-de-conferencias-cidade-e-mito-do-passado-ao-presente, and, if applicable, the proof of the bank transfer.


Registrations with an oral or poster contribution: (until 18th September 2026): 150 €.
Registration with an oral or poster contribution for students (until 18 September): 100 €.
Registration without a contribution :(until 18th September 2026): 25 €.
Any bank charges will be paied by the conference participant.

Lecturers, researchers and students from the University of Aveiro, CLLC-UA, the Portuguese Catholic University of Lisbon and CITER-UCP are exempt from registration payment. In such cases, in order to receive a participation certificate, a payment of 10 € must be made.

Members of the Scientific Committee of the congress are exempt from payment.
Each contribution can only be presented by its author(s).


Registration is required for participation in the conference, even for those who are exempted from paying.

  1. Submission of final texts

The final texts of contributions for publication in the journal Forma Breve, will also be subject to a peer review process and must be sent, in a Word file, to revistaformabreve@gmail.com until the 30th January 2027, in accordance with the following stipulations:

Formatting: 12 point Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing;
References, according to APA 7.ª Ed.;
Header: title, name(s), institution(s), email;
Abstract up to 300 words (Portuguese and English);
6 keywords (Portuguese and English);
Page limit: 20.
Authors must hold the copyrights of the images included in their articles.
